HOTELS IN BOMDILA:
There are only 6 hotels where a family can stay in Bomdila
which can be said Deluxe and Standard type. Rest of the few hotels are much
budgeted one for the backpackers. Bomdila basically can be said as a transit
point for the journey to Tawang. Travel agent must know that if accommodation
in Bomdila is not available then it can be accommodated in Dirang which is
approx. 45 kms.
HOTEL TSEPAL
YANGJOM: Hotel Tsepal Yangjom is the best place to stay in Bomdila
and it is a 3 star equivalent property. The hotel is situated in the main
market, front is normal as the other buildings besides the hotel but backside
of the hotel is a very good scenic view of the hills. From many rooms you can
be able to enjoy the scenic beauty. Mostly used polished woodwork throughout
the hotel which provides the graceful feel to guests. Large and airy rooms with
standard facilities such as room heater, electric backup (a mandatory
requirement in this part of the world), good restaurant and friendly staff
makes this hotel the best choice at Bomdila.
HOTEL
SIPHIYANG PONG: After Tsepal Yangjom I can say Hotel Siphiyang
Pong can be rated as second best in the location. The total inventory of the
rooms is 23 with restaurant and basic facilities. Though the staffs are
friendly but still I will be recommending the management to educate to become
friendly staff for the guests. The rooms are quite large and the food is good
in the hotel with neat and clean atmosphere. If any guest would like to rate
the star category of this hotel then one can say it’s a 3 star equivalent
hotel.
LUNGTA
RESIDENCY: This hotel has 16 rooms inventory of different
categories and be counted as a 2 star equivalent hotel. The rooms are average
in size, neat and clean restaurant and friendly staffs. For any standard or
Deluxe Plan one can include this hotel in the itinerary.
DOE
GU KHIL GUEST HOUSE: Though it is called “Guest House” but it is
situated in such a location in Bomdila that I can say location wise this has
the best location. Also the guest house covers such a large area that the
children and tourist can play, walk and relaxes on the foothill. Beside the
hotel Bomdila Monastery give a sense of Buddhist stay and a completely
different feeling you will have while you spend a night or two here. Total
numbers of rooms are approx 18 with different category. The guest house can be
accommodated in Deluxe and Standard category.
HOTEL
SEAGULL: A 2 star equivalent property with 15 rooms’ inventory is
also a good hotel to stay in Bomdila. All the basic amenities are available and
the hospitality of the staffs will feel like you are at home.
NATIVE
INN: This hotel was earlier a house and it was converted into
hotel. So you will not find small rooms. You will find 3-4 connected rooms with
6-8 beds in a room. This will be a good choice when 3-4 families are coming
together or a group of friends travelling together. This is a budget hotel with
all basic facilities with restaurant and friendly staff.
HOTEL
LA: This is a budget hotel and if anyone is looking most
economical package or backpackers can opt this hotel. The total of 18 rooms
inventory.
HOTEL
HIGHLANDERS INN: This is also a budget hotel with 14 rooms’
inventory.
Apart from the above you will also find 2 more Lodges and
can be considered under budget category of stay. Not recommended for the
tourist who are accompanied with their families to stay in this types of
Lodges. It is recommended for the backpackers or low budgeted guest to go for
it.

Based on the above hotel details and its inventory I can
easily suggest our partners that if they are looking for say 25-50 pax group
for Guwahati – Bhalukpong – Bomdila – Dirang – Tawang tour plan than it can be
easily accommodated in 2-3 different hotels / resorts.
